What You Will Do
Ascension Seton is seeking a full-time NP or PA to join our elite Women's Services team in a dedicated OB/GYN Emergency Department, where you will evaluate and prioritize patients from 16 weeks gestation to 6 weeks postpartum based on acuity. Supported by on-call physicians and residents, you will optimize unit capacity through timely admissions or discharges while helping train Dell Seton interns and receiving specialized ultrasound training from Maternal Fetal Medicine.
  • Join an established team of physicians and APPs

  • Determine efficient patient pathways by accurately diagnosing conditions like preterm labor or pregnancy complications, ensuring timely hospital admissions or safe discharges to optimize unit capacity.
  • Mentor and educate first-year residents, teaching Dell Seton interns how to adequately, quickly, and efficiently triage obstetric patients to meet their foundational clinical goals.
  • Collaborate with obstetric care teams, partnering closely with private practice on-call physicians and OB resident teams to deliver seamless, comprehensive emergency care.
  • Perform specialized diagnostic imaging and occasional postpartum rounding, utilizing advanced ultrasound training provided by Maternal Fetal Medicine to guide accurate treatment decisions.
