What you will be doing: You'll be responsible for the management of food services, which includes the cafeteria and special center functions in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential Functions:
  1. Plan, coordinate and supervise the administrative and food service activities of the department.
  2. Assist in the development and implementation of new and revised policies and procedures affecting food services.
  3. Plan the menu and cook, when needed.
  4. Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
  5. Conduct inspections of food service areas.
  6. Ensure quality of production and food purchase requirements; maintain cost control to stay within budget limitations; assist in inventory control.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree and one-year related experience or associate's degree and two years related experience required.
  • Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid food handler's permit required in the state of work or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
