Job description

MDW Associates is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager to support our Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, serving as a customer-focused leader of sustainment and enhancement efforts associated with a newly implemented Appian based software suite of tools focused on Acquisition, Human Resources and Financial Management. This individual will lead software developers and other technical personnel as needed. The Technical Delivery Manager will serve as an interface between the government customer and the development team.

This is a hybrid position with work based in Huntsville, Alabama. Candidates must be within a two-hour commuting distance or be willing to relocate.

The Technical Delivery Manager may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties:

Customer Engagement
  • Serve as the primary point of contact
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted customer relationships
  • Lead meetings including sprint reviews, status updates, and issue resolution
  • Manage customer expectations, risks, and dependencies
Delivery Ownership
  • Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality
  • Drive sprint planning, prioritization, and backlog refinement in collaboration with the development group
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and minimize schedule delays
  • Ensure alignment between government customer requirements and technical implementation
Technical & Product Expertise
  • Maintain strong understanding of the product architecture, capabilities, and limitations
  • Provide hands‑on guidance when needed
  • Ensure product configurations and customizations are aligned with the customer's strategic direction
Team Leadership
  • Work with Helpdesk to proactively build solutions to common user issues
  • Support team workload management

Operational Excellence
