Role Overview

Crown Distributors, Kansas's premier family-owned beverage distributor, is seeking dependable Delivery Driver Trainees. This is a paid, full-time entry-level role where you will work as a Driver Assistant while we pay for your training to obtain a Class A CDL. We are committed to exceptional service, delivering iconic brands like Coors Light, Coors Banquet, Yuengling, Red Bull, and Miller Lite to local retailers. What You Will Do

  • Assist & Learn: Ride along with experienced drivers, assisting with safe navigation, unloading products, and customer service.
  • Train: Participate in our company-sponsored CDL training program (theory, maneuvers, and Smith Systems safe driving) to prepare for your Class A license.
  • Deliver: Physically handle product delivery, including moving kegs and cases in diverse weather conditions and environments, benefiting from tech-enhanced route efficiency.
  • Grow: Once licensed and promoted, you will manage your own route, serving as a brand ambassador for Crown Distributors across Central and Northeastern Kansas.


The CDL Program Details

  • Cost: $0 to you. Crown Distributors covers all training expenses.
  • Timeline: Self-paced, but motivated trainees typically advance to Route Driver within 2-3 months.
  • Commitment: In exchange for the sponsored training, we ask for a 2-year post-licensure commitment.
  • Note: Candidates must pass a DOT physical and obtain a DOT medical card and CDL learner's permit to begin the driving portion of the training.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age (Federal requirement for interstate commercial driving).
  • Clean driving record and background check.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and obtain DOT med card/CDL learner's permit for training progression.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift/maneuver moderate to heavy loads (up to 160 lb kegs) repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
