Position Overview
As an Appliance Delivery Driver at Hartville Hardware, you are responsible for the safe, professional, and timely delivery of appliances to customer homes. You will plan and execute delivery routes, unload and position appliances, assist with basic installation, and represent Hartville Hardware with the highest level of professionalism at every stop.
You are the face of Hartville Hardware in customers' homes - and your professionalism, care, and attention to detail make all the difference. This is a full-time, physically demanding role with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule.
What You Will Do
Delivery & Route Operations
  • Plan and execute daily delivery activities - preparing loads and following scheduled routes to ensure on-time arrival
  • Safely operate delivery vehicles in full compliance with DOT regulations and company policy
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and standard upkeep of assigned delivery vehicles

Appliance Handling & Installation
  • Unload, move, and position large, bulky, and oversized appliances into customer homes safely and efficiently
  • Assist with basic appliance installation and setup as needed
  • Inspect appliances and store equipment upon delivery for accuracy and condition
  • Use proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent injury and product damage

Customer Service
  • Represent Hartville Hardware professionally in every customer home - with courtesy, care, and respect for the customer's property
  • Help customers troubleshoot basic questions or concerns about their appliances
  • Maintain cleanliness and professionalism throughout the delivery experience
  • Address any delivery issues calmly and communicate with dispatch or supervisors when needed

What We Are Looking For
Required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must meet DOT requirements - DOT regulations apply to this role
  • Physical ability to move large, bulky, and oversized appliances into customer homes
  • Able to perform prolonged standing, lifting, sitting, and other physical activities as the role requires
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule

Preferred - Not Required
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Experience operating a forklift or tow motor
  • Prior in-home appliance delivery experience
  • Retail or customer service background
