Position Overview

As an Appliance Delivery Driver at Hartville Hardware, you are often the last impression we make on a customer - and one of the most important ones. You will deliver, unload, and assist with the installation of appliances and equipment directly into customers' homes, representing our brand with professionalism, care, and a genuine commitment to doing the job right.

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday role - no weekend work - averaging 45 to 48 hours per week. It is a great fit for someone who is physically capable, takes pride in their work, respects customers' homes, and enjoys being on the move each day.

What You Will Do
  • Plan and execute daily delivery activities, including preparing and loading appliance delivery routes
  • Follow planned delivery schedules and routes to ensure on-time arrivals for customers
  • Unload, position, and assist with the installation of appliances and store equipment in customer homes
  • Help homeowners troubleshoot basic questions or concerns at the point of delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness and respect in every customer home - protect floors, walls, and doorways throughout the delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform standard upkeep of delivery vehicles after each shift
  • Observe all safety procedures and adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
What We Are Looking For
Required
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - DOT requirements must be met and maintained
  • Physically able to move large, bulky, and oversized appliances into customer homes
  • Ability to sustain prolonged physical activity throughout the shift, including lifting, standing, and maneuvering in tight spaces
  • Professional, customer-focused attitude - you represent Hartville Hardware in people's homes
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-directed - you manage your route and your day with ownership
Preferred (Not Required)
  • Applicants who are at least 21 years of age
  • Experience operating a forklift or tow motor
  • Prior experience in in-home appliance or furniture delivery
  • Retail or customer service background
