Job description

At Coburn's Exclusive the Driver / Installer is the person who makes deliveries and installations happen. This includes loading trucks and driving to job sites. Using any of the fleet of Coburn's Vehicles. The right candidate for this position must be comfortable driving up to a 30' trailer and a 26' box tuck. Additionally, they will be able perform the task of installer. As described below.
SPECIFIC DUTIES OF THE JOB
Driver Requirements:
  • Is responsible for loading and unloading products into any of the Coburn's Exclusive fleet of vehicles, and safely transporting those products to their destination.
  • Will be responsible for the regular maintenance of all company vehicles, and will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the fleet. In the event that vehicle needs repair over and above regular maintenance the Driver/shop tech will make the appointment at the necessary repair facility, arrange for the vehicle to get to the repair shop, and to be returned to Coburn's
  • Will be responsible for making sure each vehicle is clean, and all straps, chains, blocking, or any other delivery tool is returned to its proper place after every delivery.
  • Will work to maintain the proper inventory of straps and other load retention tools for the fleet.
  • From time to time the driver may be asked to assist with certain activities onsite and/or to assist the installation team.
  • Work with theInstall team to deliver and pick up all necessary tools to complete onsite work.
  • Assists with the inspection, repair (as needed), and return of items to inventory upon return from project sites.
  • Communicates with appropriate personnel when tools, equipment, supplies, etc are damaged or lost.
  • Assists with the general housekeeping of the shop. This involves duties such as trash removal, floor sweeping, organizing, etc. This position also assists maintenance personnel in the upkeep of grounds and facilities, including management of scrap materials.
  • Works to ensure that production goals are met, following standard processes, maintaining quality standards, and all while meeting deadlines, and upholding safety regulations.

Installer Requirements:
  • Act as a member of the installation crew for all Coburn's Exclusive fabricated products, included but not limited to, steel doors and windows, monumental stair cases, guardrail and grab rail, and many other various types of architectural metal work.
  • Working independently or as part of a team in an effective manner.
  • A willingness to learn and self motivation is a necessity for this position
  • Ideal candidates should have a working knowledge of common installation tools, screw guns, drills, hammer drills, tape measures, and various laser leveling and layout tools.
  • This position will from time to time require more than 40 hours per week and OT is expected when the job site dictates.
  • Able to read and understand technical fabrication and or installation drawings
  • Most work will happen on jobsites. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is a must.
  • While not on jobsites, the installer will aid the shop in attaining production goals. This includes various shop duties including but not limited to welding and fabrication, finishing, shipment preparation, deliveries, etc.
