Salary: $115,000 - $150,000 annually

In this role, you will have the opportunity to head a Reynolds Defense Firm (RDF) office based inCorvallis, OR.

We promote work-life balance and have exceptional teams who do the work required to run a firm. With dedicated legal assistant support, our attorneys focus on the work that requires a bar number and our clients so that the whole team has time for a full life outside of the office.


What Youll Do

  • Manage a caseload of 25-40 clientsfacing DUI and related criminal charges
  • Interpret law for clients and help them understand their legal options
  • Develop and execute case strategies tailored to client goals
  • Represent clients at arraignments, hearings, and trials
  • Handle administrative DMV hearings and license suspension challenges
  • Negotiate with prosecutors and litigate cases when necessary
  • Draft legal documents, conduct research, and argue motions
  • Engage in ongoing DUI legal training and development
  • Rainmaking: willingness and ability to leverage RDF's marketing systems and techniques to attract and close the types of clients we want to represent
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior attorneys


Qualifications

  • J.D. from ABA accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Oregon State Bar
  • Minimum 2 years as an attorney; 5+ preferred
  • Criminal law and trial experience as a defense attorney, prosecutor, and/or in a judicial capacity; DUI defense and felony cases preferred
  • Excellent working knowledge of Oregons criminal code, case law, DMV license consequences for criminal and non-criminal actions
  • Experience and working knowledge of Portland Metro, Salem/Mid-Valley, greater Eugene-area and/or Coastal courts
  • Strong leadership qualities and mentoring skills
  • Spanish fluency preferred
