  • Weekday mornings or afternoons
  • Weekends
  • Evening shifts
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Firearms Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing firearms training services to our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting training sessions and teaching firearm safety, handling, and shooting techniques. UDT utilizes a state-of-the-art threat-based simulator to teach our members, along with reality-based force-on-force training and indoor and outdoor live-fire training.
Schedule / Expected Work Hours:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
Responsibilities:
  • Instruct our members using UDT's threat-based reality simulator.
  • Teach our force on force and self-defense training courses.
  • Conduct firearms training sessions for individuals and groups, including basic safety, handling, and shooting techniques.
  • Teach proper firearm safety rules and protocols to ensure all participants are aware of the potential hazards associated with firearms.
  • Maintain training equipment and facility.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and secure range environment during training sessions.
  • Evaluate participants' performance and provide feedback to help them improve their skills.
  • Stay current with industry developments, new equipment, and training techniques to ensure that training sessions are up-to-date and effective.
Qualifications
  • Ability to learn and adhere to UDT's extensive and in-depth curriculum.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a firearms Instructor/law enforcement officer.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of firearm safety and handling protocols.
  • Familiarity with a variety of firearms and their operation.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable working in an outdoor range environment.
  • Poses any necessary certifications and licenses for instructing.
