Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will join our multi-discipline Agile/DevSecOps Development team in Indianapolis, IN, supporting our NSI program.

Provides creative software solutions to complex, technical, system and integration problems using modern Agile/DevSecOps processes and tools. The multi-discipline team that includes Software, Systems and Cyber Engineers work closely together to design ideal solutions with the end user and operational needs in mind. The NSI product development environment employs modern development techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Automated Functional Testing, and Paired Programming.

Experience developing in one or more C++, Java, and Python languages.

Strong communication and teaming skills and embrace modern development processes and techniques that improve code quality and productivity. The ability to listen with empathy and seek to understand the perspective of others is one of the keys to success within our Agile teams. Typical Duties

Responsible for development, integration, test, and documentation of software for our NSI products. Integration and testing occur in our state-of-the-art lab in Indianapolis.

Work in an agile environment and cross functionally.

Develop software, tailoring reusable software, and integrating software components on virtual machines and the target hardware.

Contributes to maturing and improving our processes and products. Adherence to coding standards and best practices, and configuration management of all code is required for this position.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years related experience in Software Development.

Experience with one or more: C++, Java, and Python programming languages.

Familiarity with Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD).

Linux operating system concepts.

Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps Software Development process environments.

Strong communication and teaming skills.

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support customer meetings, demonstrations and integration/installation/interop testing events.

Be able to reside in the Indianapolis area to support lab testing and other team events.

Desired Skills

Familiarity of Networks (TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, Firewalls, etc.).

Familiarity with Virtual Machine Environments and containers

Familiarity of one or more Agile techniques (LeSS, Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, SAFe, eXtreme Programming, etc.)

Knowledge of Secure Coding techniques.

Familiarity with Automated Testing and Automated Test Framework.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) degree program or equivalent work experience.

Security Clearance & Other Requirements

Ability to access systems with information restricted to U.S. citizens per federal contract requirements is required.

Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
