Description Expertise and Functions

  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Effectively work with a team and/or independently on daily activities regardless of geographical locations
  • Track daily tasks in multiple reporting platforms
  • Display superior organizational skills
  • Assist with updates of weekly activity slides pertaining to contracting and purchasing
  • Sustain record keeping and filing pertaining to contracting and purchasing
  • Prioritize workload, multitask, and track to deadlines
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current government and commercial contracting standards
  • Assist with coordination of necessary contractual actions with customer counterparts and with internal stakeholders
  • Assist in creation and updates of policies pertaining to contracting
  • Provide training on clerking topics as needed
  • Research and understand FAR, DFARS, and other regulations, instructions, and directives pertaining to contracting
  • Complete customer and supplier documentation and certification
  • Perform reviews and create flow-down clauses from the customer terms and conditions
  • Manage manufacturing awards up to $100k to include communication with customers and management of modifications as necessary.
  • Monitor Request for Quotes (RFQs) system and track to ensure the internal stakeholders meet the proposal/quote deadlines
  • Finalize and coordinate government and commercial quotes with internal stakeholders and potential customers
  • Submit quotes/proposals to customers
  • Conduct contract review and follow policies for approval
  • Draft and send contract award announcements to internal stakeholders
  • Track and monitor contract closeout procedures
  • Audit and update contracting data entries
  • Support coordination of necessary contractual actions with customer counterparts and internal stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements Qualifications Education/Training (both required and desired)
  • High School diploma required
  • Associate's degree in Business, Communications, or other relevant focus area preferred
Experience
  • 0+ years of experience required
  • 2+ years of Defense Contractor administrative, record keeping, data management, and/or procurement experience preferred
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport professionally and work successfully with others required
  • Proficiency in follow-through with directions from leadership
  • Ability to learn and use systems related to contracting i.e., Unanet, DocuSign)
  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills and tasks
Security
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
Physical Requirements
  • Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
  • Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
  • Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Salary: The projected salary range for this position is $45,000 - 60,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
