Overview
WiSC Enterprises is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Systems Engineer, Consulting to support Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and Federal clients in the development, integration, modernization, and sustainment of mission-critical systems and technologies.
The Systems Engineer will support the full systems engineering lifecycle including requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, validation, operational support, and technical analysis for complex defense and intelligence programs. This role requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering and mission teams.
This position may support hybrid, onsite, or customer-location environments depending on program requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Support systems engineering activities throughout the system lifecycle including concept development, design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment
  • Analyze operational requirements and translate mission needs into technical solutions and system specifications
  • Develop system architectures, interface definitions, engineering documentation, and technical analyses
  • Perform requirements management, traceability analysis, and verification and validation activities
  • Support integration of hardware, software, network, cloud, and cybersecurity capabilities into enterprise and mission systems
  • Conduct systems analysis, trade studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations
  • Assist with systems integration, interoperability testing, and operational readiness assessments
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, developers, and government stakeholders to support mission execution and technology modernization initiatives
  • Support Agile, DevSecOps, and digital engineering efforts across mission programs
  • Participate in configuration management, change management, and systems documentation activities
  • Provide technical support for cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, data integration, and cybersecurity compliance efforts
  • Support development of technical briefings, implementation plans, and executive-level reports
  • Assist with proposal development, technical solutioning, and capture support activities as needed

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD, IC, or Federal programs
  • Experience supporting systems engineering lifecycle processes and methodologies
  • Knowledge of systems integration, requirements analysis, testing, and verification methodologies
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT systems, cloud technologies, networking, and cybersecurity principles
  • Experience supporting technical documentation, systems analysis, and engineering reviews
  • Understanding of Agile development, DevSecOps, or digital engineering concepts
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in mission-focused environments
  • Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret/SCI preferred

Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related technical discipline
  • Experience supporting defense, intelligence, aerospace, cyber, ISR, or mission systems programs
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Knowledge of RMF, NIST cybersecurity standards, and secure systems engineering principles
  • Experience supporting software development, data engineering, or infrastructure modernization initiatives
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • INCOSE ASEP/CSEP/ESEP
    • Security+
    • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect
