Job description

Associate Director - Quantity Surveying Infrastructure & Defence

Location: Hampshire

Salary: Excellent salary + comprehensive benefits package

I'm partnering with an established construction consultancy that is continuing to expand its senior leadership team and is looking to appoint an Associate Director - Quantity Surveying.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced commercial professional who enjoys building trusted client relationships, leading the commercial delivery of complex programmes and helping shape the future of major infrastructure and defence projects.

You'll be joining a consultancy with an outstanding reputation, a strong pipeline of secured work and a culture that rewards expertise, collaboration and ambition. Whether your background is in infrastructure, defence or both, you'll have the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most technically challenging and high-value programmes.

The Opportunity
  • Lead the commercial delivery of major infrastructure and defence projects.
  • Provide strategic cost and commercial advice to key clients.
  • Manage and mentor Quantity Surveyors, supporting their professional development.
  • Oversee cost planning, procurement, contract administration and commercial reporting.
  • Build and strengthen long-term client relationships, identifying opportunities for future work.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
About You
  • Proven experience at Senior Quantity Surveyor, Associate or Associate Director level within a consultancy or similar environment.
  • Significant experience delivering major infrastructure and/or defence projects.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts or Alliance Contracting.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
  • Commercially astute with the confidence to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
  • Chartered (MRICS) or working towards chartership is desirable.
What's on Offer
  • Opportunity to play a key role on nationally significant infrastructure and defence programmes.
  • A clear route for continued career progression within a growing consultancy.
  • A collaborative, people-first culture where your contribution is recognised.
  • Competitive salary, excellent benefits and ongoing professional development.

If you're looking for a role where you can combine technical expertise with client leadership while working on some of the UK's most complex construction programmes, I'd be delighted to speak with you.
