Job description

Primary Location: United States (US) - North Dakota  - Fargo   

As a Production Specialist - Final Assembly employee with John Deere in Fargo, ND, you will:

Perform assembly related operations in a production environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:

  • Assemble parts or components to specification.
  • Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.
  • Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance.
  • Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections.
  • Use various types of tools and equipment to perform work - including but not limited to hand and power tools, testing equipment, ladders, hoists, fixtures, jigs, and gages.
  • Assist and support other team members.
  • Clean work area and equipment and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

This is a first shift position.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have at least one of the following:
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
    • At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
  • Ability and willingness to cross train in all areas of Final Assembly.
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow work instructions, including distinguishing part and quantity numbers.
  • Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions.
  • Ability and willingness to work potential overtime (including weekends).
