Job description

We currently seek a Maintenance Supervisor to help support our Facilities Department in our Norcross location.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
  • Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
  • Monitor critical systems of facilities to ensure functionality
  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
  • Manage and direct day-to-day Trades personnel work assignments
  • Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities
  • Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required
  • Ensure health and safety policies are in compliance
  • HAZWOPER Certified
  • Allocate workload and supervise janitorial and landscaping staff.
  • Use in-house CMMS to create, manage and report day-to-day work assignments and preventive maintenance activities
  • Coordinate off-hours and weekend work
  • Participate in the on-call duty roster for critical or emergency events
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Key qualifications:

  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership in progressive roles; 7+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • Six-sigma Green/Black Belt Certification and Lean Certification a plus
  • Knowledge of Fiber Optic Industry desirable
  • SAP Experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office Excel, Word and Power Point; Acute ability to understand and use data for continuous improvement
  • Experience working in a Union environment
