$75,000-$85,000 base + annual performance bonus | Full benefits | Relocation assistance

What you're walking into

A market that's ready to grow and a company that will back you to win it.

Deep Creek Vistas is a boutique short-term rental company operating in a proven vacation market. You won't be handed a playbook and told to execute it from a desk. You'll be the one building the culture, the team, and the operation from the ground up.

You'll have real autonomy, a founding team that has done every job in this business, and cross-market resources from sister brands in the Ozarks, Branson, and the Poconos.

The role

You are the GM. The head coach. You own the outcome.

Owner relationships: Proactive communication, focus on property care and great bookings, and don’t shy away from hard conversations. Owners will leave from silence, not problems.

Growth: Adding new units, growing realtor and builder relationships, local market presence.

Team: Hire, coach, and hold the standard for local operations managers, cleaners, maintenance techs, and vendors.

Field operations: Turn execution, inspections, maintenance response, hot tub service, winter readiness, seasonal surge staffing. You lead from the front.

Guest experience: 4.8+ review scores, fast response times, and strong recovery when a stay goes sideways.

Vendor network: Source, price, and hold quality standards across cleaning, laundry, landscaping, snow removal, and trades.

Accounting: Own the P&L. Collaborate on budget. Forecast accurately and be accountable to results.

Compliance: Garrett County licensing, HOA rules, lake and dock regulations, occupancy and safety requirements.

You're the right fit if

  • You've led teams and vendors to be accountable
  • You follow through. Every time. And you communicate early when something is slipping.
  • You build a culture of ownership, not a culture of hand-holding
  • You're calm under pressure, urgent when it matters, and decisive
  • You thrive in a rapidly growing and changing market

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a management role
  • Managed a team of 10+ employees + vendors
  • Track record of building and holding operational standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication: fast, clear, consistent
  • Outstanding attention to detail and time management
  • Comfortable with technology and property management software
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, able to work in Deep Creek Lake year-round

Strong plus

  • Short-term rental, vacation rental, hospitality, or multi-site property management background
  • You've owned a budget or P&L and know what the numbers mean
  • Knowledge of Deep Creek Lake or similar vacation market
  • Experience with Guesty or comparable PMS
  • Experience recruiting rental property owners

What you'll get

  • $75,000-$85,000 base salary
  • Significant annual performance bonus
  • Medical, dental, vision
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Relocation assistance (when applicable)

About Deep Creek Vistas

Founded by operators, not investors. Our founders built the fastest-growing property management company in the Smoky Mountains (5 to 500 properties in 5 years), bootstrapped, with 20 years of software and technology background. We use tools and systems most companies in this industry aren't even aware of yet, and we put them in the hands of our teams so they can operate at a level that wins.

Deep Creek Vistas is one of four markets under the same ownership. That means you aren't alone. You have a network, shared resources, and founders who know what hard looks like and will roll up their sleeves next to you.

We don't want to dictate. We want to collaborate and support. The right person will have the autonomy to build something real here.
