MUSC Health, Pee Dee Division operates 3 Emergency Department, seeing approximately 95k patients per year altogether. Join a team that's committed to delivering the highest level of care for patients at our hospitals in the Pee Dee Division - Florence Medical Center, Marion Medical Center, and Black River Medical Center.

MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is a regional acute care facility and Level III Trauma Center comprised of 396 beds, with a 36-bed Emergency Department. Annual ED volume is 45k patients. There are more than 1,500 employees and nearly 250 physicians representing all major specialties dedicated to serving the healthcare needs of the citizens of Northeastern South Carolina. We offer acute care, diagnostic services, women's health, orthopedic services, cancer care, cardiac services, general and robotic surgery, neurosurgery, cardiac and thoracic surgery as well as rehabilitation, emergency/trauma care, community health services and more.

MUSC Health Marion Medical Center is a 124-bed facility which includes Mullins Nursing Center, a 92-bed facility with a five-star ranking. There are 25 acute care inpatient beds and a 16-bed Emergency Department. Annual ED volume is 23K.

MUSC Health Black River Medical Center is a 25-bed facility with a 20-bed emergency department and a yearly volume of 27k patients.

Required Qualifications:

  • ABEM/ABOEM BC/BE OR ABFM BC with three years of continuous Emergency Medicine experience. (Only Emergency Medicine BE/BC are eligible for Florence Medical Center location)

  • Graduation from an accredited school of medicine

  • Graduation from an ACGME residency program

  • Unrestricted licensure in the State of South Carolina

  • Unrestricted federal and state-controlled substance registration

Position Highlights:

  • Hiring for all shifts including dedicated nocturnists

  • APP support combined with experienced clinical team

  • Behavioral health patients are treated offsite by a separate clinical team

  • 85% Adult; 15% Pediatric

  • We staff our departments to be able to see @ 2 pt/hr.
