Job description

The Human Resources Coordinator supports daily HR operations by maintaining employee records, assisting with payroll and benefits administration, coordinating recruitment, onboarding, and providing administrative support to the HR team. This role helps ensure accurate HR data, timely employee support, and consistent execution of HR processes in alignment with company policies and applicable requirements.


This position is onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. MST. The dress code is business professional attire Monday through Wednesday and business casual attire Thursday and Friday.


Essential Functions

  • Responds to frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding standard HR policies, benefits, hiring processes, and related topics; refers more complex inquiries to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Maintains accurate employee data in the payroll system and retirement programs.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure required documentation is collected, complete, and filed appropriately.
  • Assists with organizing and coordinating employee training sessions, seminars, and performance management activities.
  • Administers employee health and wellness plans, including auditing and submitting benefits invoices, processing benefit changes, and ensuring payroll deductions are accurate.
  • Processes bi-weekly employee payroll.
  • Enters, maintains, and processes payroll information, including hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholdings, address changes, and other employee information.
  • Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other applicable deductions.
  • Creates company reports within the HRIS system.
  • Supports the HR Manager as needed, including assisting with termination processing, recruitment and interview coordination, and preparation for the performance review process.

Role Requirements

  • 3+ years HR administration experience
  • HRIS system experience required, Paycom is preferred
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to perform essential job duties in both indoor and outdoor environments, including offices, facilities, and external job sites.
  • Regular exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, moving equipment, and uneven terrain.
  • Physical requirements may include sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, and operating tools or equipment as necessary to perform job responsibilities.
  • Regular attendance and adherence to company safety policies are required.
