Dedicated Transport involves managing specific, company-assigned routes with consistent schedules, often within a single organization or industry. Truck Drivers typically operate varied routes for multiple clients, focusing on freight delivery. Both roles require a CDL and safety training, but Dedicated Transport emphasizes ongoing contracts with specific clients, while Truck Drivers have more flexible or varied assignments.

A Dedicated Transport job involves driving for a specific client or account, typically hauling the same type of freight along set routes. Unlike over-the-road (OTR) positions, dedicated transport drivers usually have more predictable schedules and routes, which can allow for more home time. These jobs are often preferred by drivers looking for stability and consistency in their work assignments. Dedicated transport can involve various types of vehicles, such as trucks or vans, depending on the employer and cargo. This role is essential for companies seeking reliable and efficient delivery of goods to specific locations on a regular basis.
