Deckorators, a brand of UFP Industries, is a leader in composite decking, railing, and outdoor living products. Our Buffalo-area facility is the newest and flagship manufacturing location for our growing Surestone technology.

As the operation continues to grow, the Inside Sales Coordinator will play an important role in supporting customers, distributors, account managers, and the broader commercial team.

Job Summary

The Inside Sales Coordinator I supports sales growth and customer satisfaction through frequent communication with existing customers, prospective customers, distributors, and account managers.

This role helps qualify leads, coordinate customer requests, communicate product information, and resolve routine issues. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, comfortable communicating by phone and email, and interested in building a career in sales, customer service, or account management.

This position works under direct supervision and follows established processes while using sound judgment to support customers and the sales team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain regular communication with customers and distributors to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.

  • Provide day-to-day support to customers and account managers.

  • Respond to routine customer questions and concerns and escalate more complex issues when appropriate.

  • Solicit orders and identify additional sales opportunities within the existing customer base.

  • Contact prospective customers through phone, email, internet leads, and other outreach efforts.

  • Qualify leads by gathering information regarding customer needs, interest level, project timing, and purchasing requirements.

  • Direct qualified opportunities to the appropriate account manager or sales channel.

  • Execute market-development and penetration strategies using web-based leads and other sales resources.

  • Support pull-through sales efforts with dealers, distributors, contractors, and other market partners.

  • Coordinate requests for product samples, literature, brochures, and other sales materials.

  • Communicate product updates, programs, promotions, brand bulletins, and new product information to customers.

  • Help drive awareness and sales of new or underrepresented products.

  • Partner with account managers to respond to customer requests, resolve issues, and support account growth.

  • Maintain positive working relationships with distributors and other business partners.

  • Work with Product Managers and other internal teams to support sales programs and initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate customer, lead, and activity information in applicable business systems.

  • Attend product training, trade shows, customer events, and product introductions as needed.

  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and other sales-related documentation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Zero to two years of experience in customer service, inside sales, sales support, or a related field preferred.

  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.

  • Comfortable communicating with customers by phone and email.

  • Ability to ask effective questions, gather information, and identify customer needs.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with account managers and internal teams.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Experience with CRM, ERP, or customer-management systems preferred.

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and technology.

Compensation & Benefit Information

Hourly pay range: $20.00-$25.00 per hour, dependent on experience.*

*The pay range may be adjusted based on cost of living, relevant experience, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
