Job description

Job Summary
The Deckorators Field Specialist supports the distribution of Deckorators products in a specific market and works on behalf of the distributor to bring brand awareness and product education to contractors in order to provide pull-through sales for dealers. The Field Specialist works alongside distributor Account Managers to ensure all opportunities for contractor, architect, and builder product education and product specifications are captured.
Location The position is based in the Twin Cities, MN
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
  • Be the product and technical expert on all aspects of Deckorators decking and components
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, specifiers and architects
  • Establish product knowledge sessions with contractors and hold various contractor events
  • Certify Pros who have been educated and vetted to become our valued partners as brand ambassadors
  • Engage contractors in a professional manner on various social media platforms to discuss working with Deckorators products and becoming certified pros and brand ambassadors
  • Complete takeoff requests from dealers and for Certified Pros where Deckorators products are used
  • Ensure Certified Pros participate in Deckorators promotions and make sure they upload supporting documentation accordingly
  • Work with dealers to gather Certified Pros receipts for Deckorators purchases to help contractors utilize the Deckorators Pro Program
  • Work with Lowe's PSEs and Pros to educate and encourage them to use Deckorators products in their projects
  • Maintain and utilize HubSpot CRM platform for contacts, leads and opportunities
  • Work with distributor to support various events put on by dealers where Deckorators can be a focus of interest

Qualifications
  • Preferred bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related area
  • Minimum of one year of customer services experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and other software for business applications
  • Preferred manufacturing background, but not required
  • Preferred experience and knowledge on UFP's organization, culture, and product lines

Compensation & Benefit Information:
$65,000 - $75,000 plus incentives annually dependent on experience*
*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living
The percentage of incentive compensation that may be earned varies based on the customer account classification and is calculated based on collected gross profit.
