Join an experienced team that provides exceptional support and leadership in our core competencies.   We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (SEG3) to support a large support services contract with the Naval Sea Systems Command. Position Description: You will provide support to the Program and Deputy Program Manager of a 200 person contractor team that includes subcontractor personnel. Work location and telework: The government work location is the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. Contractors will be required to work at the Navy Yard and in nearby office locations up to 5 days a week.  Teleworking may be possible with the customers' approval but will need to evolve as the work relationships evolve. Responsibilities and Duties: Software Engineers research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. They may also perform the following duties: •         Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. •         Update or enhance existing software capabilities. •         Work with other functional disciplines (e.g., project management, acquisition, logistics, security, etc.) to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements. •         Maintain databases within an application area.   Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience: •        Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance •        Certification requirements: None •        Education and experience: There are three different ways to be qualified for this position: 1. A high school degree, or a GED, and twenty (20) years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser software system/subsystem design, development, production and/or test experience, OR 2. A bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and fifteen (15) years of relevant Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys and/or Laser software system/subsystem design, development, production and/or test experience, OR 3.
