Senior Industrial Engineer

Location:Marianna FL (preferred), Morehead KY, Ashley IN, Maquoketa IA, Rome NY, Front Royal VA, St. George UT, Duncan OK.

Overview:Family Dollar is seeking a results-driven Sr. Industrial Engineer to join our national supply chain network of Distribution Centers. This role will focus on supporting and leading labor management initiatives as well as designing, managing, and leading process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in industrial or systems engineering, manufacturing, production, or distribution, with a proven ability to deliver innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment. A background indistributionoperations, labor management, and performance optimization is preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, project management, and advanced data analysis skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Standardize and document best-in-class operating procedures across thelogisticsnetwork using Lean and other process improvement principles.
  • Implement and drive adoption of new innovations across multiple facilities.
  • Develop, implement, andmaintainlabor standards, labor management systems (LMS), and related analytics and reporting.
  • Identifyand implement process improvements to increase customer value, reduce cost per case, and expand facility capacity.
  • Analyze performance data and conduct process observations toidentifyand address root causes of performance gaps.
  • Partner with Operations, Safety, Quality, Loss Prevention, Transportation, IT, and Finance to support strategic supply chain initiatives.
  • Support large-scale projects including DC expansions, startups, and network optimization efforts.
  • Design, create andmaintainreports and dashboards to track performance andidentifyopportunities for improvement.
  • Measure process improvements by creating ROI analysis, tracking KPIs, and tracking estimated & realized dollar savings.
  • Collaborate with leaders at all levels to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Apply process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Expertisein work standardization, time studies, MOST, or equivalent labor standard tools.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships in cross-functional environments.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced data analysis skills withproficiencyin Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and MS Access.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, based on project requirements.
  • Willingness torelocatewithin the U.S. to one of our eight Distribution Centers.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) preferred.
  • Experience with labor management systems (LMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Ability to work within ambiguity and drive results with limited direction and oversight.

Education and Experience:

  • BS Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar Industrial and Process Engineering role, ideally in fast-pacedlogistics,distributionor fulfillment environment. 5yearspreferred
