Decision Technologies seeks a qualified Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) XML Logistics Data Specialist to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia
Position Description:
The Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) XML Logistics Data Specialist is responsible for developing, managing, validating, and maintaining structured logistics and sustainment data in XML format to support GBAD systems across their lifecycle. This role ensures that technical, provisioning, maintenance, and supply chain data comply with applicable defense standards and are accurately integrated into logistics information systems. The specialist supports data interoperability, configuration management, and readiness reporting for GBAD weapon systems, associated subsystems, and support equipment.
MUST HAVE Secret clearance
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Develop, edit, and maintain XML-based logistics data packages for GBAD systems
• Translate logistics, maintenance, and provisioning requirements into structured XML schemas and data files
• Validate and troubleshoot XML data using appropriate schema validation tools and parsers
• Coordinate with engineering, configuration management, provisioning, and supply chain teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of logistics data
• Support integration of logistics XML data into ILS, ERP, and maintenance management systems
• Maintain configuration control of logistics datasets in accordance with program requirements
• Conduct data quality reviews and audits to ensure data integrity and readiness support
• Support data exchange requirements for GBAD platforms, including radar systems, launchers, command and control units, and associated support equipment
• Assist in development of data management plans and logistics data deliverables for GBAD programs
• Provide technical guidance on XML structure, tagging conventions, and logistics data standards
• Support sustainment analysis, sparing analysis, and lifecycle management reporting activities
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Associate's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent USMC / MOS experience).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), logistics data management, or defense sustainment programs.
• Demonstrated experience working with XML, XSD schemas, and structured technical data
• Experience supporting ground-based air defense, missile defense, radar, or similar weapon systems.
• Proficiency with XML editing and validation tools
• Understanding of provisioning, maintenance task analysis and configuration management principles
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering data, and bills of material (BOMs)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience supporting GBAD, C-UAS, Counter Fixed / Rotary Wing, Counter Cruise Missiles
• Familiarity with DoD logistics systems and automated maintenance systems
• Experience with PLM and Navy / USMC ERP systems integration
• Experience in configuration control boards (CCB) and technical data reviews
• Certification in logistics, configuration management, or data management disciplines
