Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
The Banking Financial Systems Analytics Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining financial reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions that support accounting and business decision-making. As a member of the Accounting team, this position analyzes financial and operational data, supports budgeting and forecasting initiatives, and improves reporting efficiency through automation and process enhancements. The role partners with Finance and business partners to deliver meaningful insights, ensure data accuracy and integrity, and provide reporting that drives informed business decisions. Consistently gains the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain financial and management reporting dashboards, reports, and data models to support accounting and business decision-making.
  • Develop and automate data pipelines using SQL, Python, and Power Query.
  • Analyze financial, operational, procurement, and payment data to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Create management reports and key performance metrics that provide insight into financial performance and business trends.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and financial performance reporting initiatives.
  • Automate manual reporting and validation processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data used for financial reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate with Finance and other business partners to understand reporting needs and deliver analytics solutions.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and executive-level dashboards that provide visibility into financial results and business performance.
  • Document reporting processes, data sources, and controls to support audit, compliance, and operational requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and reporting enhancements.
  • Adheres to Seacoast Bank's Code of Conduct.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, or related field; or 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, and data transformation techniques.
  • Strong Power BI experience, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard development.
  • Proficiency in Python, including data analysis and automation using tools such as Pandas and NumPy.
  • Experience developing reporting solutions, data pipelines, and automated workflows.
  • Understanding of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting concepts preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
