About This Job

Greeley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is seeking a driven, results-oriented General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead our new and pre-owned vehicle sales operations. This is an outstanding opportunity for a proven automotive sales leader who thrives on developing high-performing teams, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and achieving aggressive sales and profitability goals.

As General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the sales department, including inventory management, sales processes, customer satisfaction, manufacturer compliance, and employee development. You will work closely with executive leadership to ensure the dealership consistently exceeds performance objectives while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

The ideal candidate is an experienced automotive leader with strong knowledge of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram products, manufacturer programs, and dealership operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the New and Used Vehicle Sales Managers, Internet Managers and Sales Consultants.
  • Drive monthly sales performance while achieving dealership profitability and volume objectives.
  • Maintain exceptional Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores by promoting an outstanding customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Ensure compliance with all Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram manufacturer standards, programs, and policies.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of manufacturer incentives, rebates, lease programs, financing options, and fleet/commercial opportunities.
  • Stay current on all Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram products, features, competitive comparisons, and emerging automotive technologies.
  • Monitor daily sales activities, appointments, closing ratios, gross profit, inventory turn, and sales performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, and product training.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain top-performing sales professionals.
  • Oversee CRM utilization to ensure timely customer followโ€‘up and accountability.
  • Partner with the Finance Department to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.
  • Manage inventory levels, aging, pricing strategy, merchandising, and market competitiveness.
  • Review deals for accuracy, profitability, and compliance prior to final approval.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all manufacturer certifications and required training are completed by the sales team.
  • Analyze sales reports, market trends, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and dealership policies regarding vehicle sales and consumer protection.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a General Sales Manager or Sales Manager in a franchised automotive dealership required.
  • Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales, gross profit, and CSI goals.
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive retail operations, desking deals, inventory management, and sales forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram manufacturer programs, incentive structures, and performance standards.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and teamโ€‘building skills.
  • Experience recruiting, training, and developing successful sales professionals.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze reports and make dataโ€‘driven decisions.
  • Exceptional customer service mindset with a commitment to delivering a worldโ€‘class buying experience.
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS), CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and preโ€‘employment screening.
