As the Dealership Controller, you will oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing strategic financial guidance to support dealership growth and profitability. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Develop financial reports and budgets to inform business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Support leadership with financial forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
  • Manage budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Collaborate with department heads to support financial planning and cost control initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Corporate Controller or similar role within automotive dealership or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including GAAP.
  • Experience with financial reporting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Must be willing to travel.
