Job description

Position Summary:
The Dealership Porter is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and organization of the dealership lot, showroom, and service areas. This role supports daily operations by ensuring vehicles are clean, properly positioned, and ready for customer viewing or service needs. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Shift:

Full time: Monday-Saturday 7a-1p or 1p-7p

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of lot
  • Move, park, and arrange vehicles in designated areas
  • Assist with vehicle deliveries, transfers, and staging for display
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled (if applicable), and presentation-ready
  • Monitor lot for safety hazards and report any issues to management
  • Assist service and sales teams with vehicle flow and operational needs
  • Install temporary tags or assist with basic vehicle prep as needed
  • Keep walkways, entrances, and customer areas clean and presentable
  • Follow all company safety and driving policies

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to safely operate automatic and manual vehicles (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 25–50 lbs as needed)
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced dealership setting
  • Indoor and outdoor work required
  • May require evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
