Role Summary

The Sales Manager will lead the commercial strategy, customer development, and revenue growth for Showa Performance in the North American off-road and performance aftermarket. This role is responsible for establishing and scaling distribution, dealer, and strategic partner relationships while ensuring strong alignment to brand positioning, pricing discipline, and long-term growth objectives. The individual will play a key role in launching Showa Performance into the market, translating SHOWA's engineering leadership into a competitive commercial business focused on trucks, Jeep, and off-road applications. This role works cross-functionally with marketing, product, engineering, program management and operations to deliver a cohesive go-to-market strategy and best-in-class customer experience.

Operate with clarity and urgency in a fast, ambiguous environment. Be decisively collaborative - set expectations, make tradeoffs, prototype quickly, document choices, and close loops. Maintain brand integrity and compliance while doing what it takes to help the team deliver. Most importantly, this individual must be able to contribute to a fun and productive environment, maintain a positive attitude, and develop strong working relationships with colleagues and team members.

The position is based in Farmington Hills with a flexible onsite expectation and frequent travel to customers, events, and industry engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the North American sales strategy aligned with launch timing and growth targets
  • Drive revenue, margin performance, and channel expansion across distribution, dealers, and direct channels
  • Build and manage relationships with key distributors, dealers, installers, and strategic partners
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within off-road, truck, Jeep, and overland segments
  • Lead pricing discussions, customer programs, and commercial negotiations
  • Support dealer network expansion, onboarding, and sell-through initiatives
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, product launches, and brand positioning
  • Provide market feedback to product and engineering teams to influence product development
  • Align with operations and supply chain on forecasting and inventory planning
  • Represent Showa Performance at industry events including SEMA and King of the Hammers
  • Track sales performance, manage pipeline activity, and provide regular reporting to leadership

Management + Maker: While you manage direction and partners, expect to jump in - editing copy, adjusting layouts, refining briefs, scrubbing file structures, or attending activations - to help the team unblock and deliver.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the automotive aftermarket, off-road, and performance segments
  • Proven ability to grow revenue and manage key customer accounts
  • Experience working with distribution channels and dealer networks
  • Demonstrated success in sales strategy development and execution
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams
  • Passion for off-road, trucks, and performance vehicles

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field preferred

Experience:

  • 7 or more years of experience in automotive aftermarket, off-road, or performance sales
  • Experience managing key accounts, distribution partners, and dealer networks
  • Background working with premium brands and maintaining pricing discipline preferred
  • Experience supporting product launches and go-to-market execution preferred
  • Familiarity with industry data standards such as ACES and PIES, CRM systems, and sales reporting tools preferred
  • Job level determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel: Domestic and international travel may be required as needed. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
