Job Summary
DATE: August 24, 2026
POSITION: EDUCATIONAL INTERPRETER FOR THE DEAF
Atascadero Middle School
SALARY: Classified Salary Schedule
Range 37 (Step D-$39.16 to Step H-$48.31)
HOURS: Monday through Friday - 6.5 Hours per work day
195 days (184 word days + 11 paid holidays)
QUALIFICATIONS: Complete job description available at the District Office or online.
-Proficient in sign language with the ability to communicate with a deaf student for classroom instruction and all school related activities;
-CA Dept. of Education recognized certifications
for a deaf interpreter are highly desirable.
-Speech & Listening Skills.
-Must pass DOJ/FBI Fingerprint Clearance
-TB Clearance required prior to working
-Valid California Driver License
-Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
