The Windsor Independent Living Association, WILA, is a private not for profit organization in Windsor CT. Much of what makes WILA a strong and successful organization is the dedication, diversity, experience, and expertise of our staff.

WILA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide clinical nursing and medical management for adults with intellectual disabilities in Windsor, CT.

You will join a talented team of professionals in the field of developmental disabilities in an environment that promotes client centered care, within community settings. You will work closely and communicate regularly with various members of the team including families, case management, and direct support professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Exhibit excellent judgment, critical thinking, and reasoning skills as well as the adaptability necessary to identify and meet the needs of each client.

· Maintain accurate/current client records for purposes of continuity of care, team communication and program quality evaluation and compliance in all DDS nursing requirements.

· Provide care in accordance with the DDS Nursing Standards and Guidelines.

· Train direct support professionals for nursing delegated services.

· Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills,

· Must have a dedication to our mission.


Job Requirements:

· Current and unrestricted licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of Connecticut.

· Driver’s license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance, required.

· Proficient computer skills, excellent oral and written communication skills .

· Excellent client service skills.
