Job description

Chaska Cabinetry & Millwork is a custom cabinet shop that has a combined experience of over 75 years giving our customers a piece of mind that their designs will be executed perfectly. We are currently located in Chaska, MN and are working with several builders, contractors and homeowners in the surrounding area, including DDK Construction, our parent company. Our building is designed specifically for efficient woodwork manufacturing.

Chaska Cabinetry & Millwork is currently seeking a full time experienced cabinet builder and/or finisher who is self-motivated and takes pride in their work. Designers and craftsmen fulfilling dreams Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Must have knowledge of cabinet making
  • Ability to verify measurements to ensure that the finished product is accurate
  • Experience with various wood species and types of machinery
  • Able to lift, pull and push 10-20 lbs frequently and 20-50 lbs occasionally
  • Apply stains and finishes per individual job specifications with rags and spray guns
  • Repair product with appropriate material (color match issues, repair scratches, putty cracks)
  • Inspect all parts to verify that work meets our quality standards
  • Maintain safety standards in the workplace
  • Rotate to other positions in the shop as needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 -3 years’ experience in the industry
  • Ability to operate hand tools and read prints
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently as needed
  • Ability to take instruction from supervisor
  • Good communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Must have own transportation, a valid driver’s license and social security number
