Job Summary

Location: Position location is hybrid based out of Arlington, VA (1-2x/week onsite).

This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining internal control compliance to ensure accurate, consistent cost accounting and reporting across all activities.

Job Responsibilities
Compliance Oversight & Reporting
  • Responsible for directly managing a government compliance staff engaged in both general and specialized accounting functions, including the preparation of the Incurred Cost Submission, Forward Pricing Rate Proposal, and Disclosure Statement, as well as the maintenance of department policies and procedures.
  • Manage accurate, timely completion of reports.
  • Create, maintain, and update compliance databases, reports and documentation.
  • Support compliance monitoring activities such as self-assessments, internal and external audits, and assist in reviewing contracts, licenses and documentation to ensure adherence to company policy and U.S. Government regulations.
  • Identify and resolve moderately complex issues; recommend and implement process improvements to enhance compliance and efficiency.
  Audit & Internal Review Support
  • Conduct and lead Business System and compliance reviews for Business Units, including document sampling, personnel interviews, findings reports, and corrective action tracking.
  • Liaise with DCAA and DCMA auditors; support DCAA floor checks and corporate-level internal reviews.
  • Compile and interpret audit data to identify trends, common findings and opportunities for standard corrective actions.
  Policy & Process Management
  • Lead and coordinate corporate policy updates and revisions; ensure alignment across departments and consistency with templates and related policies.
  • Manage the review, approval and publication process through PATH and SharePoint.
  • Recommend improvements to policies, procedures and tools to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
  Contract Closeout & Lifecycle Management
  • Coordinate Corporate Closeout initiatives and maintain the Contract Closeout Dashboard and SharePoint page.
  • Partner with Business Units and DCMA Contract Lifecycle Management on closeout actions, data tracking and progress reporting.
  • Facilitate quarterly closeout updates and steering committee meetings.
  Training, Communication & Mentorship
  • Develop and maintain training materials related to compliance, timekeeping and audit preparation in coordination with HR.
  • Mentor new department employees and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Serve as point of contact for MOCAS issues and maintain weekly data updates and SharePoint postings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of directly related experience including a thorough knowledge of DFARS/FAR and other applicable government regulations (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience).
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Build and maintain effective, highly collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Application of basic business principles and concepts.
  • Detail-oriented, organized and quality-conscious approach to analyzing and checking documents and reports.
  • Consistent follow-through on assigned tasks and follow-ups while working ongoing projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expert skills with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as necessary to support the functions of the job; ability to work well in a team environment.

The salary range for this position is $135,00.00/year- $178,000.00.  This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
