Job Description:

The Space & Mission Systems (SMS) segment is seeking a Government Compliance professional who will support government compliance efforts for the segment. With current revenues of approximately ~$11 billion, the SMS segment is a growing and highly dynamic business consisting of diverse business models, robust pipelines, and government and commercial offerings across both domestic and international operations. This position will work with division teams to ensure compliance with government regulations and cost accounting standards, collaborate with segment and corporate leadership, and engage with government customers.

Essential Functions:

Provide guidance on FAR/DFARS requirements, cost accounting standards, and other government accounting and compliance topics to all supported organizations
Review, research, analyze, and resolve issues raised by government auditors, and prepare formal written responses to various government agencies
Prepare and present compliance status and key matters to senior leadership at the segment and corporate levels
Oversee the SMS Intermediate Home Office (IHO) including preparation and coordination of Final Incurred Cost Proposals (FICP), Forward Pricing Allocation Proposals (FPAP), and CASB Disclosure Statement updates
Ensure SMS IHO operating and cost accounting practices are compliant with applicable regulations
Support all IHO audits including FPAP, FICP, Cost Accounting Standards, and Business System reviews
Coordinate compliance-related training as needed
Problem-solve as well as develop and implement innovative and creative solutions to issues and situations within a complex and changing environment
Lead/support ad hoc requests and special projects regarding compliance matters
Interface with DCMA (DACOs/ACOs), DCAA auditors, and customers as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience; Or, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
Proficient government accounting knowledge and experience at a defense contractor or government agency including experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and working with DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) and DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency)

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $120,500-$223,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont, and Virginia is $105,000-$195,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
