What You'll Do

As a Facilities Maintenance/Groundskeeper, you'll perform a variety of maintenance and groundskeeping duties, including:

  • General building maintenance and repairs
  • Carpentry, drywall, painting, and finishing work
  • Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
  • Landscaping, mowing, mulching, pruning, and lawn maintenance
  • Snow removal and sidewalk maintenance
  • Facility cleaning and janitorial support as needed
  • Moving furniture and assisting with facility projects
  • Maintaining safe and secure worksites
  • Completing work orders and project documentation
  • Supporting other maintenance-related duties as assigned

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate

You take pride in your work, pay attention to detail, and enjoy finding solutions to maintenance challenges. You're dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to assist wherever needed to keep facilities and grounds looking their best.

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years of experience or technical training in construction, building trades, facility maintenance, or a related field
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
  • Ability to safely work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 30 pounds unassisted and 60 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to successfully complete required background and driving record clearances
Preferred Skills
  • General knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and facility maintenance
  • Experience operating hand and power tools
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
