Now Hiring Warehouse Supervisor position at our Janesville, Wisconsin distribution center

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday (10:30 AM – 7:00 PM). 

No weekends or holidays! Paid Time Off includes 18 days available during your first year. Imperial offers Day 1 benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Additionally, we provide six paid holidays, and the company contributes 6% to a 401K with immediate vesting.

Position Summary

In this full-time Warehouse Supervisor role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned department, to include maintaining required operational metrics of the area.  Acts as a working supervisor of 15-25 distribution associates and assists the DC Manager and DC Supervisor in the hiring, training, coaching, and employee discipline processes with a focus on development and retention.  The Warehouse Supervisor interfaces cross-functionally and collaborates with Purchasing, Customer Service, Human Resources and Quality Control team members.

Specifically, you will supervise assigned areas on designated shift including: directing, coaching, and motivating associates and making cost control decisions to ensure daily orders are processed safely and within the service criteria established, communicate effectively and timely with associates and create an open communication style that fosters a collaborative work environment, assist in recruiting, training, and developing department associates to provide necessary short-term coverage, planning for their department(s) as well as long term proposals for future staffing.  Provide staffing analytics to support recommendations with guidance from Corporate Human Resource partners and DC Manager.

You will also report and process company records including labor, payroll, and inventory records.  You are responsible for completing daily reporting for assigned departments, make necessary corrections prior to daily transmission, and communicate to Customer Service and/or Sales when orders are not shipped.  You will oversee company asset control, including inventory accuracy.  Maintain all packaging and shipping supply inventories within assigned department, working with Purchasing to control safety stocks and reorder points.

Responsibilities will include direct put-away functions involved in the transfer of stock (Redistribution and Restocking) to the various regional distribution centers.  Meet all established Restock service requirements.  Notify the Corporate Inventory Control Administrator or Purchasing when re-stock order is completed and if any inventory variances are found.

Recommend capital investments involving warehouse space requirements, industrial lift equipment and material handling needs for respective operational areas. Ensure all distribution equipment is operating safely and maintain expertise in operation of all material handling equipment available within the DC.

Enforce OSHA standards and Grainger/Imperial safety policies; address/correct unsafe conditions immediately. Maintain upkeep and appearance of the Distribution Center and ensure safety standards are upheld and documented.

Your background should include a High School diploma/GED equivalent and three (3) years of general knowledge of distribution/manufacturing operations. You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and have the ability to spend most of your time standing and walking in a warehouse environment.
