Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Are you an Electrical Engineer who is motivated by solving complex, cross-disciplinary challenges? Join KLA's multifaceted and hands-on engineering team, where innovation meets execution. We're looking for an engineer to help design and develop the next generation of integrated power systems and modules for our groundbreaking tools. In this role, you'll collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to design, detail, and test new electrical subsystems.

What We Need You to Do

  • Lead the design and development of electrical parts, modules, and subsystems for integrated measurement systems.

  • Drive the full design lifecycle-from requirement specification and feasibility studies to component selection, cost analysis and scheduling. This includes performing detailed analysis including circuit, timing, thermal/cooling, and electrical load balancing calculations for 120-480VAC single-phase, 3-phase, and low-voltage DC power distribution systems that are in compliance with applicable standards (NEC, NFPA 79, IPC, SEMI, IEC).

  • Program PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley) and integrate control and safety-interlock systems.

  • Create conceptual and detailed designs using tools like AutoCAD and CREO, including drawings, BOMs, test procedures, and fixtures.

  • Lead design reviews and collaborate across subject areas (mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing).

  • Procure prototype parts, conduct testing, and support system integration and manufacturing handoff.

  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure design requirements are met and resolve issues throughout the product lifecycle.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum two years' experience in electrical system integration

  • Strong background in AC power delivery, electro-mechanical systems, and communication systems

  • Experience with system-level integration and validation

  • Skills in lab testing, solving issues, and performance characterization
