Job description

Position Summary: Quickly and accurately pick products from assigned locations, pack into shipping boxes, label packages appropriately, and stage completed orders for shipment. Load and unload containers of products and materials as needed. Stock, organize, and maintain Distribution Center (DC) inventory. When pick and pack work is completed before the end of shift, perform general DC duties to support overall warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accurately perform job responsibilities.
  2. Pick product from location using scanner.
  3. Place product in box or on pallet for shipping.
  4. Pack a shipping box (“shipper”) or stack product on pallet properly to prevent product damage.
  5. Label pallet or shipper.
  6. Stage pallet or shipper for loading.
  7. Ensure shipments match the documentation and vendor requirements.
  8. Perform back-up for other warehouse positions (Repack, Key Accounts, etc.) if Pick/Pack duties are completed.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Basic reading, writing and comprehension in the English language
  3. Basic math skills
  4. Manual dexterity required
  5. Regularly lift, carry, and move boxes or materials weighing up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Perform team lifts of up to 75 pounds as required.
  6. Experience operating RF scanners or similar warehouse technology
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for a warehouse environment. Work involves regularly lifting, carrying, and moving boxes or materials weighing up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, performing team lifts of up to 75 pounds as required, use of equipment for material handling, and good cognitive, visual and auditory abilities. Machinery operation may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, safety glasses, ear protection, vests and hard hats. Loose fitting clothes, open-toed shoes and dangling jewelry that may pose a hazard are prohibited.
