Job description

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve walk-in customers by assisting with plant selection, availability questions, quotes, tagging, and basic horticultural guidance.
  • Act as a key in-house sales and customer service resource, supporting order entry, fulfillment, and customer communication.
  • Support order fulfillment by pulling, staging, and preparing product for customer pickup and delivery.
  • Assist in loading customer vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate transfers from other DC locations to fulfill customer needs and maintain inventory balance.
  • Support inventory duties including product organization, tagging, and ready-to-sell maintenance.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) activities when needed, including payment processing and customer coordination.
  • Support receiving operations by unloading incoming plant trucks and supplies and assisting with verification and staging.
  • Execute inter-farm and inner-farm transfers with accurate documentation and communication.
  • Participate in physical cycle counts and inventory audits as assigned.
Operational & Physical Tasks
  • Load and unload customer vehicles, plant trucks, and supply deliveries.
  • Perform physical cycle counting and inventory verification.
  • Support B&B order processing including selection, staging, and loading.
  • Handle plant material safely and efficiently in yard, greenhouse, and dock environments.
  • Assist with maintaining organization, cleanliness, and safety throughout the DC.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
  • Horticultural and plant care knowledge or willingness to learn.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively between customers, sales, inventory, and operations teams.
  • Attention to detail in order handling and inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor, and physically demanding environment.
  • Comfort operating or learning equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and pallet jacks.
  • Basic computer skills including CRM, order entry, and mobile applications.

  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all PPE, safety, and equipment guidelines.
  • Communicate safety concerns immediately and participate in safety training and meetings.
  • Demonstrate accountability by meeting timelines, expectations, and quality standards.
  • Support company culture, core values, and brand standards in all customer and team interactions.

  • Walk-in customer satisfaction and service responsiveness.
  • Fulfillment accuracy and efficiency.
  • Inventory accuracy and cycle count performance.
  • Timely and accurate execution of transfers and receiving.

Safe work practices and adherence to operational procedures
WORK SCHEDULE
M-F approximately 730am-4pm. We are a seasonal business and the work hours, and workload will vary depending on the season. Average 40 hours/week annually.
