  • Pay: $20 - $22.00 per hour (Depends on experience)

Position Purpose:
We value the safety of our associates! The Building Maintenance keeps our associates safe by maintaining all equipment inside the warehouses/buildings and ensuring it meets industry standards and operates efficiently according to its specific tasks.
Job Description:
The Building Maintenance Worker position will perform the following duties:
  • Assists in the proper upkeep and preventative maintenance of all buildings, materials and systems at the distribution plant/designated building.
  • Tests emergency generator.
  • Records data from main electrical panels.
  • Inspects various equipment and building areas, including, but not limited to, air compressors, roof and roof-mounted equipment and sprinkler systems; record data from inspections.
  • Tests sprinkler system’s water flow, tamper switches and sprinkler system alarms.
  • Tests fire pump and alarm.
  • Inspects all equipment and repair or replace as necessary to avoid down time.
  • Inspects, lubricates and cleans condensers and evaporators.
  • Performs annual inspections on refrigeration compressors, including change oil and filter, disassemble compressor for internal inspection and align mechanical couplings.
  • Inspects and lubricates freezer and cooler doors and perform needed repairs; maintain inventory of repair parts.
  • Designs and constructs carpentry items requested by other departments.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Obtains work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations. Performs daily safety checks.
  • Performs maintenance, repairs, and installations on various equipment within guidelines of processes and standards.
  • Maintains, replaces, builds, adjusts, and modifies the facilities, buildings, and the grounds according to a set schedule and in emergency and non-emergency situations.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties and keep maintenance area orderly and clean as required. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary reports and paperwork.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
