Job description

One Federal Solution is seeking Credentialing Leads to support a large federal credentialing program. The Credentialing Lead will oversee credentialing operations at assigned locations or within an assigned geographic region, ensuring secure identity credential issuance, inventory accountability, and compliance with established credentialing procedures. This position supports credentialing services for federal personnel and contractors while providing leadership and operational support to credentialing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support credentialing operations at assigned locations or within an assigned geographic region.
  • Coordinate daily credentialing activities and assist with operational planning.
  • Monitor daily appointments using the credentialing scheduling system.
  • Support enrollment, issuance, activation, and maintenance of identification credentials.
  • Issue and activate SmartID and access credentials.
  • Perform certificate rekey, PIN reset, credential updates, and other credential lifecycle activities.
  • Maintain credential inventory and accountability using inventory management tools.
  • Secure credentials in accordance with established security procedures.
  • Contact employees and contractors to schedule credential pickup and activation.
  • Collect terminated credentials and ensure proper disposition.
  • Maintain accurate records of credential issuance and collection activities.
  • Perform Registrar, Activator, and Card Custodian responsibilities as assigned.
  • Coordinate shipment of credentialing materials and Light Activation Kits when required.
  • Respond to applicant inquiries regarding credential status.
  • Prepare reports and documentation supporting credentialing operations.
  • Provide administrative support, documentation management, project coordination, and operational support as needed.
  • Perform additional credentialing and identity management duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required. Four (4) years of directly related experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
  • Experience providing administrative or operational support in a professional environment.
  • Experience coordinating documentation, scheduling, project support, or office operations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting HSPD-12 or PIV credentialing programs.
  • Knowledge of credential issuance processes, PKI, FIPS 201, or FICAM.
  • Experience using credentialing systems such as USAccess or similar identity management systems.
  • Experience operating credentialing equipment, including credential printers, activation kits, scanners, and related hardware.
  • Experience supporting federal identity, access management, or security operations.
Clearance Requirements

Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain the required federal background investigation and credentialing requirements for this program, including:

  • U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
  • Ability to satisfy federal background investigation requirements.
  • Demonstrated federal tax compliance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required federal credentials.
