Our client, a global AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its premier National Security Group. This practice advises sophisticated global clientsโ€”including asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, multinational companies, and major financial institutionsโ€”on the full spectrum of U.S. national security regulatory regimes. The role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of complex, high-stakes regulatory, transactional, and enforcement matters within a top-ranked national security practice.

Candidate Profile
  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in a relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
  • 6+ years of substantive experience advising on U.S. national security and regulatory matter
  • Substantial experience providing compliance advice related to economic sanctions, export controls, and outbound investment restrictions, including matters involving OFAC, EAR/BIS, ITAR/DDTC, and OGT
  • Experience advising clients throughout the CFIUS and DCSA processes, including transaction agreement negotiation, filing preparation and submission, mitigation negotiations, and ongoing compliance with mitigation measures
  • Experience conducting internal investigations, preparing voluntary disclosures, and supporting settlement negotiations with enforcement authorities is a plus
  • Strong analytical and drafting skills; two written work samples are required for evaluation
