Location : Indianapolis, IN - Day 1 onsite
Duration : 6+ Months
To be frank, if someone is a DBA/ Developer then may fit the bill perfectly than a proper DBA (70% DBA and 30% Developer is a perfect combo for this role)
Here is the job description
Main qualifications are summarized as follows:
Required:
SQL Server Administration supporting development and production environments.
- Recent focus and experience with SQL Server version 2016 and above
- Proven expertise with performance tuning at the database level and application/SQL level. Expertise with T-SQL, stored procedures. Must bring a proven methodology or approach to address performance,
- Solid knowledge of and working experience with SQL Server stack including SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
- Proven experience and competency managing SSAS environments (tabular and MOLAP) including knowledge of performance tuning and cube optimization
- Deep knowledge of administration functions including monitoring and managing up-time, stability, day to day operations, patch/upgrade management, backup/recovery, DR, ..
- Must have ability to proactively assess and recommend changes to environment or code to address variety of issues including performance, locking, incorrect results
- 1+ years working with cloud database platforms, preferably Azure SQL, CosmosDB with experience with AWS RDS a nice-to-have. Solid knowledge of the platforms and tech and ability to further develop skills and knowledge to support clients to move to these cloud platforms.
Positive, proactive, collaborative attitude
Proven ability to provide direction to less junior DBAs that may be involved in resolving issues
Nice-to-have:
- 2+ years working as a DBA for DB2 mainframe;
