Job Description

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for planning and managing the room and related area's operations of the hotel to achieve customer {guests, employees, and corporate) satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

a Responsible for short- and long-term planning and the management of the hotelas Housekeeping operations

a Develop and recommend the budget, labor cost plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans

a Solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars

a Teach employees importance of, and how to greet guests and courteously solve guest requests

a See that inspection program is consistently maintained

a Assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed

a Work closely with all other Departments

a Inspect some rooms daily

a Experience purchasing linens and housekeeping supplies

a Current on latest housekeeping and laundry technology

a Work closely with vendors to assure proper pricing, delivery, and maintenance

a Experience teaching, supervising, and mentoring multilingual and multicultural staff

a Ensure OSHA and ADA policies are adhered to

a Experience with turndown service, special needs of VIP Guests, foreign dignitaries, etc. helpful

a Insures proper staffing levels for customer service goals

Basic Qualifications

a 4 years or more of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience

a Service oriented style with professional presentations skills

a Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset

a Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line

a Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English

a Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

a Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills

a Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.

a Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.

a Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.

a Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas
