Position Overview

Highland Rivers Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position allows you to work remotely, providing telehealth services to our clients in Houston, Texas. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting teens and young adults in overcoming their mental health challenges through innovative therapeutic approaches and evidence-based practices.

About the Organization

At Highland Rivers Counseling Center, we are more than just a mental health treatment provider; we are a vibrant community focused on transforming lives. Our commitment to compassion and growth drives us to empower young adults aged 18 to 30 as they navigate their journeys toward mental wellness. With a startup spirit and a fast-paced environment, we embrace innovation while striving for progress.

Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, providing flexibility while maintaining a strong sense of community and teamwork. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that collaborates closely to ensure the highest quality of care for our clients. Our forward-thinking organization values integrity, partnership, courage, passion, and accessibility, making it a supportive environment for both staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your specific duties will include:

  • Facilitating group therapy sessions that encourage peer support, allowing clients to share experiences and learn from one another.
  • Conducting individual therapy sessions, providing personalized and empathetic counseling that aids clients in exploring their thoughts and feelings.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring that their specific needs and preferences are addressed.
  • Monitoring client progress and outcomes through assessment tools, ensuring that treatment goals are met effectively and efficiently.
  • Regularly communicating and collaborating with other mental health professionals and support staff to coordinate care and consult on complex cases.
  • Inspiring hope by acting as a guiding force for clients and their families, helping them navigate their paths to recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with young adults aged 18 to 30 in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This demographic often faces unique challenges, including transitional concerns related to education, employment, and personal relationships. As a counselor, you will be instrumental in providing the support these young individuals need to overcome obstacles and achieve personal growth.

Qualifications
  • Masterโ€™s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related field.
  • Current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in Texas.
Preferred Experience

Ideally, candidates will have at least two years of experience working in mental health treatment settings, particularly with adolescents and young adults. Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities and a passion for supporting vulnerable populations will be highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges between USD 85,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, you will have access to comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and resources for ongoing professional development.

At Highland Rivers Counseling Center, we are committed to your professional growth. You will benefit from opportunities for continuing education (CEU support), free clinical supervision, and avenues for career advancement within our organization.
