Production Line Leader, Sylmar, CA

Starting Pay $29.68

1st Shift: 5:00 am – 1:30 pm

As a Production Line Leader at PPG's Sylmar, CA Plant, you will be a crucial part of new product development process, ensuring that products transferred to full-scale manufacturing meet the customer requirements. Your work will directly affect customer satisfaction!

Key Responsibilities

  • The position involves blending, measuring, and producing formulas that are destined to be manufactured in full scale at the facility.
  • You will operate laboratory equipment to gather data related to product key characteristics.
  • You will gather raw materials needed for pilot or small batch manufacturing.
  • You will work in a pilot production environment with the appropriate safety procedures in place.
  • You will record critical data to support scale up activities and first article inspection.
  • You will prepare materials and product for packaging and shipment to customers.
  • You will ensure that the work cell remains safe, clean, and ready to use at all times.
  • You will participate in project work related to product and process improvements for the site.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, work any job, and work overtime as needed.
  • Comfortable with computer data entry
