Product Assembly & Inspection

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Read and follow manufacturing and assembly drawings, prints, and instructions

Consistently produce clean, high-quality welds on steel and/or aluminum materials that will pass quality inspection

Produce steel and/or aluminum assemblies to specifications, ensuring that they are square

Safely operate welding and cutting equipment, lathes, sheers, presses, and other metal working machinery

Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and hydraulic lifting equipment

Troubleshoot and maintain equipment and tools

Follow all safety procedures and maintain housekeeping of facility

Accurately and legibly complete all paperwork in a timely manner and maintain records, as required

Work safely, following all company safety policies, practices, procedures and improvement initiatives

Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload. 

Qualifications

Three to six months’ related experience in steel and/or aluminum welding

Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred

Experience operating a forklift, preferred; ability to pass in-house certifications, upon hire

Ability to accurately read and interpret documents (ex: blueprints, instructions, etc.)

Accurately read a tape measure to a 1/16” with ability to complete basic math equations

Strong attention to detail and desire to produce high quality components

Ability to safely operate an overhead crane to move materials

Must be 18 years of age or older for insurance purposes

Physical Requirements

Consistently push and/or pull 50 pounds

Consistently bend at the waist and/or knees

Consistently reach and/or twist

Consistently perform hand and/or wrist movements

Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds from floor to waist level

Stand up to 100% of the workday

Ability to tolerate varying noise levels and environmental conditions including wet slippery conditions or extreme hot/cold; perform minimal duties outside, year-round

Ensamblaje e Inspección de Productos

Deberes y Responsabilidades Esenciales

Leer y seguir los planos, planos e instrucciones de fabricación y montaje

Producir de forma constante soldaduras limpias y de alta calidad en materiales de acero o aluminio que superen la inspección de calidad

Producir ensambles de acero o aluminio según las especificaciones, asegurándose de que estén a escuadra

Operar con seguridad equipos de soldadura y corte, tornos, cizallas, prensas y otra maquinaria para trabajar metales

Leer las especificaciones del trabajo para determinar los ajustes de la máquina y los requisitos de material

Operar montacargas, transpaletas, grúas puente y equipos hidráulicos de elevación

Resolver problemas y realizar el mantenimiento de equipos y herramientas

Seguir todos los procedimientos de seguridad y mantener el orden en las instalaciones
