Job Description

Welder

1st shift (6:00am - 2:30pm), 4:00am start time when working a 10-hour shift.

2nd shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm) 1:00am leave time when working a 10 -hour shift.

General Responsibilities:   

  • Set up welder for maximum weld strength. 
  • Preform Mig and Tig Welding.
  • Fit pieces and weld together per design.
  • Read mechanical drawings and blueprints and measure products to specification.
  • Operate hand and power tools.
  • Operate forklift.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Actively participate in team and other company meetings.
  • Perform miscellaneous other duties in department or the company as assigned.

Physical Requirements:  Must be able to:

  • Stand for 2/3 or more of the day.
  • Use hands to grasp, hold, or pinch for 2/3 or more of the day.
  • Extend the arm and hand in any direction 2/3 or more of the day.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) on a frequent basis.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous welding experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills: ability to read ruler, use tape measure and other measuring tools.
  • Proven record of stable work history and good attendance.
  • Must be able to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.
