Job description

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Supervised by: Director of Nursing

Job Summary: Administers nursing care to individual patients and groups of patients in an inpatient setting to assist them in meeting their physiological, psychological, safety, and general health needs. Perform nursing care in accordance with the physicianโ€™s orders and under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing. Supervises MHTs.


Regulatory Requirements:

* Current Louisiana RN license

* Minimum 12 months experience in direct patient care, preferably in psychiatric setting.

Language Skills:

* Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

* Additional languages preferred.

Skills:

* Basic computer knowledge.

* Strong bedside manner.

* Certified in CPR

* Certified in crisis/violence intervention
