Job Summary and Responsibilities

Provides executive leadership for regional payer strategy, value-based care, and population health initiatives by developing and executing innovative reimbursement models across Medicare Advantage, Commercial, Marketplace, and Managed Medicaid lines of business. Leads payer contracting, network strategy, Accountable Care Organizations (ACO), Clinically Integrated Networks (CIN), and population health operations while building strategic partnerships that improve financial performance, quality outcomes, and long-term organizational sustainability. Serves as a key executive advisor, aligning payer strategy with enterprise and regional financial objectives while advancing provider network growth, alternative payment models, and collaborative relationships with payers, employers, government agencies, and physician leaders.

You will need to be a visionary healthcare executive with deep expertise in payer contracting, value-based care, and population health, combined with exceptional executive negotiation and relationship management skills. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to lead complex, multi-state initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and drive measurable improvements in financial performance, quality outcomes, and strategic growth.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelors degree - Required
  • Masters' degree - Preferred 

Experience

  • 10 years of progressive managerial and strategic leadership combined experience in payer/provider strategy/manged care and populations health

Baylor St. Lukeโ€™s Medical Center is an 881-bed quaternary care academic medical center that is a joint venture between Baylor College of Medicine and CHI St. Lukeโ€™s Health.
