Job description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PACU position requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification, with new grads welcome to apply.
Job Details
• Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting,
• Care for patients immediately following surgical or procedural interventions requiring anesthesia,
• Monitor patients during the initial recovery period and address potential complications,
• 3rd shift schedule, Thursday-Saturday 7p-7a,
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week,
Job Requirements
• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required,
• BLS certification required,
• ACLS certification required,
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required,
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred,
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred,
Additional Information
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in accordance with RN scope of practice and hospital policies,
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with case management,
• Provide patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning,
• Collaborate with inter-professional team members and delegate tasks appropriately,
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient satisfaction, falls, and pressure ulcers,
